I love food. A lot of people love food. But I love food in the kind of way that sometimes the only reason I get out of bed is because I understand that with 9 clicks on my phone screen, I can have a pizza at my front door in 30 minutes.

This blog is 50% foodie eating everything she can find on Yelp, and 50% a 20-something trying to feed herself food on a standard basis.

This is my repository of food adventures, recipes, I’ve tried, and – of course – the best things I’ve ever ate. So have a bite – and leave a recommendation for somewhere I should try!

About This Blog

SPICYSOUPPARADISE is a weird name for a food blog. It comes from one of my favorite foods: SamYang Sutah Ramen Soup – Hot & Spicy Flavor. I used to live in Washington, D.C. with a two hour commute and when I got home the last thing I would want to do is cook dinner. So I lived on this stuff.

Fast-forward. I took a different job. This out out in the country. An hour from the nearest Starbucks kind of “country.” I got in touch with some culinary roots. I learned to shop local, eat local, and cook local. Now I’m setting off on a culinary journey to discover home made, home grown food – as well as good my own.

And paying homage to one of my favorite foods turned guilty pleasures.
